The opportunity

A leading brand within the FMCG sector is looking for a Senior Public Affairs Manager to build and protect the organisation’s reputation. You will play a critical role in the development and delivery of the Corporate Affairs team’s wider communications strategy and plans, taking a lead role in shaping their UK&I future regulations and public policies.

Main responsibilities

‍

• To plan and execute the Public Affairs programme to build awareness amongst relevant stakeholders, government, NGOs, etc.
• To highlight the Company’s position as ‘socially responsible’ and advance the Company’s reputation as a leader within the FMCG sector.
• To influence change within public health, advertising and food standard regulation policies.
• Working successfully with scientific third parties, interacting in-person with key stakeholders to establish strong relationships.

Key skills and experience required

‍

• Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and relationship building skills
• Ability to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders (NGOs, Government, scientists etc.)
• Experience in an FMCG environment preferable
• Collaborative, open-minded and dynamic professional
