The opportunity

AAT is looking for a Press and Media Relationship Manager to enhance its public profile and strengthen media engagement. This role will be responsible for developing and delivering strategic communications to ensure a strong and consistent presence across traditional and digital media. Reporting to the Head of Policy, Media and External Affairs, the position will lead media relations, crisis communications, and thought leadership initiatives while engaging with journalists, influencers, and political stakeholders.

Main responsibilities

‍

• Develop and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, and media contacts to secure positive coverage.
• Manage all press enquiries, ensuring timely and strategic responses across media channels.
• Lead crisis communication strategies to safeguard AAT’s reputation.
• Plan and execute integrated media campaigns to enhance brand awareness.
• Act as a spokesperson, representing AAT in media interviews and public forums.

Key skills and experience

‍

• Strong experience in media relations, PR, or corporate communications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage crisis communications and managing a press office.
• Experience engaging with journalists and other key stakeholders.
• Ability to plan and deliver strategic media campaigns.
