We are working with a leading financial services business which is going through a dynamic period of change to find internal communications experts for two new roles in their corporate affairs team. Reporting to the Head of Internal Communications, the Internal Communications Manager - Change & Transformation will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive internal communication strategies. These will ensure that all employees are informed, engaged and inspired, giving them the context, information and tools they need to fully contribute to the company’s success, and to be compelling external advocates for the business. This role requires a strong thinker with excellent communication and project management skills and an understanding of change management principles.
Main responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive internal communications strategies and plans to support the company’s transformation and change projects as they materialise
- Engage with key stakeholders, including but not limited to senior leadership and the People team, to understand communication needs and ensure alignment with change objectives
- Create clear, compelling, consistent and sensitive messages that communicate the purpose, benefits, and progress of change initiatives to employees at all levels
- With support from the wider Brand and Communications team produce high-quality communication materials, including emails, newsletters, presentations, intranet content, and videos, to support change initiatives
- Develop and implement initiatives to engage employees in the change process, addressing concerns and fostering a positive attitude towards change
- Establish and maintain feedback mechanisms to gauge employee sentiment and adjust communication strategies accordingly.
Key skills and experience required
- Proven and demonstrable experience as an Internal Communications Manager, with experience of change and transformation communications
- Deep understanding of change management principles and practices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong storytelling skills with the ability to create compelling narratives that drive engagement
- Strong organisational and project management skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels across multiple organisations.
