My client based in Central London is one of the largest providers in warranty and insurance for newly built homes and established to improve construction standards.  

The opportunity

As part of a team of three Government and Policy Advisors reporting to a Senior Corporate Affairs Manager, the Government and Policy Advisor will contribute to the development and execution of impactful engagement and campaign strategies. The role will ensure the organisation remains a thought leader across the political landscape.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide expert advice and analysis on policy issues to ensure informed decision-making.
  • Conduct in-depth research to evaluate policy options, anticipate challenges, and identify opportunities to strengthen our position within the industry.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders, Parliamentarians (including Cabinet members), Government departments, and industry experts to showcase our unique role as an industry leader.
  • Organise and secure high-profile events with senior Parliamentarians across Westminster and regionally.

Experience required

  • Proven experience of working within a political institution and/or a public affairs organisation (public affairs agency, Parliament, relevant civil service department, etc.)
  • Highly motivated
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • High level of IT literacy (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Good organisational skills
  • Good networking skills
  • Event management
  • Understanding of Parliamentary legislation and procedure
