The trade association is dedicated to supporting member interests and promoting the value of consultancy to the private and public sector, the media and the general public.

We are looking for an External Affairs Manager to assist, develop and implement an effective policy strategy to promote the UK consulting industry and raise its image and profile to political stakeholders
Main responsibilities
- Assist in delivery of the policy function delivering the business objectives in the Business Plan
- Assist in supporting the Head of Communications and Research for research and relevant written copy issued in the organisations name in press releases, reports and in media material on the website
- Assist in helping with the Public Sector Working Group and assist in supporting the Diversity and Inclusion working group and Sustainability WG
- Help assist to design and implement campaigns and events to promote the organisation, industry issues and activities.
- Secure key political and other VIP in relevant areas as speakers to events throughout the year
Key skills and experience required
- Experience as a policy manager able to deal with complex issues in a sensitive manner.
- A strong understanding and experience of policy and external affairs requirements
- Ability to grasp issues and deal with them as they arise, without supervision and support, for the benefit of the organisation.
- Ability to work confidently and effectively with all levels of management within the organisation and industry.
- A creative approach to developing campaigns and events and the ability and willingness to drive the continuous development and improvement of the external affairs function.
