The Opportunity

Ellwood Atfield is working with a professional body in the legal sector for solicitors in England and Wales. They are the voice of solicitors, drive excellence in the profession, safeguard the rule of law and work to ensure no-one is above the law, protecting everyone's right to have access to justice. They defend human rights at home and abroad, also supporting members with career opportunities, networking events, and development training.
The opportunity:
The organisation is seeking a new Campaigns Coordinator to support the development and delivery of impactful campaigns that achieve their influencing objectives. There are a number of sizeable campaigns for this hire to get involved with, and the role is ideal for candidates with experience across public affairs, media, and campaigns, with a strategic mindset and understanding of how policy and behavioural change happens. This is a permanent, full-time role, with a salary of £35,655 and an additional 3% cash allowance following a three-month probation period. They have a London office, and this role can be worked on a hybrid-working basis.
Main responsibilities:
- Coordinate the development and delivery of campaigns, particularly around access to justice and the rule of law
- Develop and drive forward engagement and influencing strategies that successfully mobilise key stakeholders, decision-makers, supporters and
- members in support of our campaigning goals
- Identify opportunities to raise the profile of our campaigns with our target audiences
- Establish effective working relationships and collaborate with colleagues at all levels across the organisation to achieve campaigns objectives
- Use evidence from communications research to develop campaigning messages that build public understanding and political support for change
- Mobilise communications framing research findings and recommendations with colleagues in the business, members, the wider fields of law and justice,
- as well as organisations and campaigning coalitions in other sectors
- Develop and maintain campaign project plans and project management systems
- Identify campaign success measures and work with others within the organisation to measure performance and review campaigns in light of data,
- analytics and other evaluation methods and metrics
- Provide campaign update reports to the committees, Board, Council and office holders
- Co-ordinate and lead campaign events
- Maintain a reliable and secure record of key campaign documentation, content and stakeholder information/data
- Effectively use digital mobilisation tools to engage a wide and diverse range of audiences
Experience required:
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Previous experience developing campaign and influencing strategies, collaborating with a diverse range of stakeholders
- Track record of translating complex policy and research into compelling campaign materials and messaging
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- A proactive approach to initiating work and following activities through to successful completion
